摘要

Abstract

Multilayer chip inductors (MLCI) were prepared with Bi2O3 as the sintering aid and with the actual production condition being taken into consideration. The effects of Bi2O3 content on the performance and appearance of MLCI were studied using EDX and SEM. The results show that the MLCI with 3% w(Bi2O3) shows the best quality in comparison to other MLCI samples The MLCI with 1% w(Bi2O3) shows a relatively high sintering shrinkage and low inductance and quality factor, while the MLCI with 5% w(Bi2O3) exhibits a surface with metal spots and a relatively low quality factor, high DC resistance and strong diffusion of silver in the inner electrode.
