Applying digital micro-image processing on rapid detecting the total number of yeast

Abstract
Digital micro-image processing technology on rapid detect the total number of yeast was studied. A detection system was made of the hardware and software, respectively.The biology microscope, CCD vidicon, image gathering card and computer were assembled the hardware,and the counting software was developed by Visual C + + 6.0 software.The image of Saccharomycse cerevisiae Hansen flake was gathered, processed,divided up, boosted up and morphologically processed by the detection system ,then the yeast was identified and counted by the method of connected component labeling algorithm and shape factor.The result showed that the average error of detection system was 2.56% compared with directly counting using microscope, and detection time was less than eight seconds to one flake.The digital micro-image processing technology was simple, rapid and exact, which could detect the total number of yeast,and overcame the traditional microorganism counting.关键词
