摘要

Abstract

Objective:To screen α-glucosidase inhibitors by high throughput way from edible traditional Chinese medicine (ETCM). Methods : α-Glucosidase in the petroleum ether, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, methanol, water extracts from 72 species of ETCM were assayed based on the concentration of PNP in the reaction system by HPLC using PNPG as substrate. Results.It was found that most of extracts at the concentraction of 0.625 mg/mL inhabited alpha-glucosidase and the inhabitory rates of 16 kinds of them were 100%. Conclusion. This assay could be performed to screen α-glucosidase inhibitors by high throughput way in vitro,and some of ETCM had high inhibitory actvities for α-glucosidase,which would be important for treating diabetes mellitus.
