A Review on Effects of Chicken Yolk Precursor and Oocyte Vitellogenesis Receptor on Egg Quality

Abstract
Chicken yolk precursors,namely very low density lipoprotein(VLDL) and vitellogenesis(VTG),are synthesized via estrogen secreted by sexually mature hens,and have obvious impacts on the intrinsic quality of eggs.Very low-density lipoprotein receptor(VLDLR),a yolk precursor transport receptor,can mediate the VTG and VLDL on the yolk membrane surface into oocytes and promote the maturation of oocytes.Therefore it is a key gene that influences egg production and yolk weight.Chicken yolk precursors and their receptors are closely associated with egg quality.In this paper,the structures and functions of yolk precursors and their receptors in chicken are reviewed and their impacts on egg quality are also discussed.关键词
