Classification of Chafer Pupae (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae) (Ⅴ)
摘要
Abstract
The external basic morphological characteristics of scarab pupae are described.The pupae of 8 species are described and illustrated:Polyphylla alba vicaria Semenov, Hoplostemus japonicus Harold, Hilyotrogus bicoloreus (Heyden), Brahmina rubetra (Faldermann), Holotrichia plumbea Hope, Holotrichia szechuanensis Chang, Holotrichia parallela (Motschulsky) and Trematodes tenebrioides (Pallas).The main basis for classification are as follows: length and width of the body, the shape of clypeus, labrum and antennae, the characteristics of frons and pronotum, whether existing crista or bump on abdominal tergum, the shape of median vertical line on the back of pupa; the colour and shape of spiraculae; the shape of telson and bifurcate way of two urogomphi; the genitalia's shape of male pupa, the shape of paramere and aedeagus; the shape of female's pygidia, the position of gonopore and so on.关键词
