摘要

Abstract

TiO2 nanorods photoanode was prepared by hydrothermal method and first improved by introducing the Au@SiO2 nanoparticles. The results show that the introduction of Au@SiO2 nanoparticles though enhances light absorption, it reduces the amount of dye adsorbed on TiO2 nanorods, leading to a degradation in DSSC performance. Therefore, a TiO2 passivation layer was further grown on the surface of TiO2 nanorods/Au@SiO2 nanoparticles. This is conducive to adsorption of dyes and reduction of the charge recombination. The DSSC based on the improved photoanode is found with photoelectric transformation efficiencyη of 2.34%, which shows an obvious enhancement of 60% compared to TiO2nanorods-based solar cell.
