摘要

Abstract

Two bacterial strains named temporally asWTS and YTSwereseparated from the soil,and theycould utilize tea saponin for growingandshowedsignificant promotioneffect onthe biodegradation of PCBs. Under the condition of coexistence with tea saponin, thedegradationrate constantsof PCB 77, PCB 118 and PCB 138were increasedby4.3 times, 4.8 times and 2.8 times, respectively, by WTS,and7.1 times, 9.1 times and 8.9 times. respectively,byYTScompared to those treatments withouttea saponin.The results indicated that tea saponin could promotethe biodegradation ofPCBs,implying thattea saponin mightbeapotentialinducerfor the biodegration ofPCBs.
