摘要

Abstract

PAE is one of the key parameters of power amplifier, and has a variety of related testing technology. The paper discusses several common methods for measuring PAE of power amplifier. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are analyzed, and a new method for measuring the PAE of the power amplifier is proposed, based on the PNA-X. In this way, the S-parameters, power parameters and PAE are tested in 15 seconds, scan 250 points with one connected. The error of the test results is not more than 2%, The test method can be applied to the typical application of the power amplifier test on wafer.
