Analysis of lipid content and fatty acid composition of Chlorella pyrenoidosain in different cultivation stages

Abstract
Objective:In order to increase more deeply understanding the lipid synthesis of C.pyrenoidosa,the changes of the lipid content and the fatty acid composition with the cultivation stage were observed.Methods:The algal biomass was collected at each cultivation stage by centrifugation of cultivation broth,the lipid was extracted and the fatty acid compositions were analysed.Results:The results showed that the total content of lipid was 21.18% in the nitrogen deficiency stage,which was 1.54 and 1.32 fold of that at logarithmic growth phase and stationary phase,respectively.The GC results indicated that long chain fatty acids of C 16 ~ C1 8 were the dominant fatty acids of C.pyrenoidosa,and most of them were oleic acid (C18∶1) and linoleic acid(C18∶ 2),accounting for more than 35.90% of the total fatty acids.Conclusion:Increasing total lipid content and polyunsaturated fatty acid accumulated in nitrogen deficiency stress stage,improving the lipid quality of C.pyrenoidosa.关键词
