摘要

Abstract

3-methyl-4-nitrophenol (PNMC),as a kind of important component of vehicle emissions,has been shown to confer toxicity in splenocytes.Proanthocyanidin,as a dietary polyphenols,has been shown to confer inhibitory activity against a variety of toxins,and grape seed is rich in proanthocyanidins.The effects of grape seed proanthocyanidin on immunotoxicity induced by PNMC in murine splenic lymphocytes were investigated by Cell Viability Assay and ELISA,and the results showed that grape seed proanthocyanidin significantly enhanced proliferation of splenocytes exposed to PNMC,as well as the production of T cell-related cytokines and granzymes including interleukin-2,interleukin-4,and granzyme-B in the cells exposed to PNMC.These effects were associated with a decrease in oxidative stress,as evidenced by changes in OH ·,SOD,GSH-Px,and MDA levels.
