摘要

Abstract

Based on metasurface, a polarization reconfigurable dual polarization microstrip patch antenna in 2.555-2.655 GHz band was designed. At first, a dual polarization microstrip patch antenna fed by two orthogonal slots was designed by the theory of microstrip antenna, then a new type of metasurface with square cutted corners was proposed and designed. The metasurface was placed on the dual polarization microstrip antenna, by mechanical rotating the metasurface. The transformation between left/right circularly polarized and horizontal/vertical linear polarization was achieved. The microstrip dual polarized antenna loaded with metasurface was simulated by using HFSS simulation software. The results show that polarization conversion for the dual polarized antenna can be achieved easily, and in the two kinds of polarization state, in the working frequency band, the return loss of the antenna is less than –10 dB , the isolation between two ports is higher than 20 dB, and the axial ratio of circularly polarized antenna is less than 3 dB. So the overall performances of the antenna are good.
