Comparative of the Fatty Acid Composition of BaHan F2 and Small Tail Han Sheep at Different Months

Abstract
The aim of this study was used to investigate the influence of different varieties and ages on the fatty acid composition,with 4,5,6,8 months lamb of BaHan F2 and Small Tail Han sheep as the experimental material.Gas chromatography analysis was used to measure the fatty acid composition.The results showed that compared with other fatty acid,the content of C16∶0,C18∶0,C18:In9c,C18:2n6c,C20∶4n6 except C4∶0 is relatively higher in each month of BaHan F2 and Small Tail Han sheep.The content of the five fatty acidin BaHan F2 and Small Tail Han sheepincreased at first and then decreased with increasing ages and reached maximum at 6 months of age,the content of the fivefatty acid in the muscle of small Tail Han sheep were higher than the corresponding months of BaHan F2 at 4,5,6 months,but slight difference at 8 months of age.Consequendy,the content ofthe fatty acid had a correlation with varieties and ages of sheep.The content of the fatty acid may affect production of good quality meat by affecting the nutritional value.关键词
