Advanced Glycation End Products and Diabetic Vascular Complications
摘要
Abstract
Advanced glycatiou end products (AGEs) are a heterogenous group of molecules generated through non-enzymatic glycation and oxidation of proteins,lipids and nucleic acids.The direct modification of proteins,lipids.nucleic acids of AGEs or the interaction of AGEs with their receptor elicit oxidative stress generation and as a result evokes proliferative,inflammatory,thrombotic and fibrotic reactions in a variety of cells,which can accelerate the aging of the human boty or lead to a variety of chronic diseases.Here is to nake a review of the moleccular mechanism of AGEs as well as the role of AGEs in diabetic vascular complications.关键词
