摘要

Abstract

A compact dual-polarized MIMO antenna was designed for ultra broadband. The antenna consists of a hexagonal patch, and it has the characteristics of compact structure and small size. A rectangular vertical arm is attached to the ground plane of the hexagon.The 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 35% along with isolation between two ports is achieved by introducing the rectangular vertical arm. To enhance the isolation, two L-shaped radiators are incorporated in the rectangular vertical arm. This dual-polarized MIMO antenna can reduce the impact of multipath fading. The measurement results show that the antenna keeps good omnidirectional radiation characteristics in UWB frequency band. The antenna gain is less than 5 dBi, the isolation ratio is greater than 15 dB, and the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) is less than 0.01. The antenna can be applied in UWB wireless communication system.
