The Effects of Mentor Support on Pre-service Teachers' Professional Efficacy,Professional Identity and Professional Commitment

摘要

Abstract

This study used questionnaires to measure 291 pre-service teachers who had completed the educational practice, and explored the effects of mentor support on pre-service teachers' professional efficacy, professional identity and profes-sional commitment.The results showed:(1)Mentor support had an indirect effect on professional commitment,professional efficacy and professional identity played important mediating roles in the relationship between mentor support and profession-al commitment;(2)Professional efficacy partially mediated the relationships between mentor support and professional iden-tity and between mentor support and professional commitment,respectively.(3)Professional identity partially mediated the relationships between mentor support and professional commitment and between professional efficacy and professional com-mitment,respectively.These results were discussed and the suggestions were proposed.
