摘要

Abstract

This study aimed to understand teachers' teaching perceptions and practices of self-determination for students with intellectual disabilities,and the relationship between them by a mixed-methods explanatory sequential design in which two data collection phases,qualitative following the quantitative,were employed.Results showed that teachers admitted the importance of teaching self-determination,but their teaching practices were hampered by negative views of disability and un-familiarity with self-determination.The lack of support from curriculum resources,teaching strategies,the number of teach-ers,experts,family and society further constrained their teaching practices,which affected teachers' infeasible perceptions of self-determination.Therefore,the relationship between teachers' teaching perceptions and practices is mutual restraint.
