Abstract
[Objective] To understand the status of sugar content of beverages in current Chinese market,and provide scientific data for revision of the national food safety standard General Rules for Nutrition Labeling of Prepackaged Foods.[Method] Nutrition labeling information of beverages were collected and entered into Excel form by sampling and taking pictures in large and medium-sized supermarkets across the country.The sugar distribution of all kinds of beverages were calculated and analyzed.On this basis,the proportion of sugar-free,low sugar and high sugar drinks were calculated and the rate of labeling sugar content was analyzed.[Result] A total of 903 samples were included in this study,and the rate of labeling sugar content was 18.7%,which in carbonated beverage was 60%.The sugar content in beverages ranged 0~ 18.7g/100mL,and the median was 8.7g/100mL.The sugar content was 10.6g/l00mL in carbonated beverage and fruit/vegetable juice and its beverage,and 3.7g/100mL in plant protein beverage.The proportion of sugar-free drinks,low sugar drinks and high sugar drinks in the beverage were 3.2%,15.6% and 21.3%,and the rate of labeling sugar content in sugar-free drinks,low sugar drinks and high sugar drinks were 46.2%,14.1% and 14.6%.The proportion of high sugar drinks in fruit/vegetable juice and its beverage,milk beverage and carbon water beverage were 31.60%,29.41% and 24.71%,respectively.[Conclusion] The sugar content in beverages was relatively high at present,so that the sugar intake of beverage should been controlled.The mandatory requirements for sugar content labels were suggested to be added in the standard revision,in addition the warning signs of "high sugar" in the beverage should be considered.关键词
