Abstract

Proven the toxic effect of masked T-2 toxin in Litopenaeus vannamei on growth and development and genetic of male mice. Mice, with head and muscle homogenates of the shrimps which were conducted the experiment of20 d accumulation toxicity with Does-periodic-increased methods through tube feeding for 7 d. Then recording the organ index, spermatozoa deformity and micronucleus of marrow cell were measured. Analysis of the toxic effects of T-2 and the hidden residues in the shrimp on mice. The results showed that low doses T-2 infected shrimp has no effect on mice. However, high dose T-2 infected shrimp caused decreasing of organ index. Sperm deformity rate and micronucleus rate were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); With the increase of the exposure dose, the abnormal rate of sperm and the rate of micronucleus increased. Research shows T-2 in feed could transformed into masked T-2 toxins (m T-2 s) by shrimp after ingesting, T-2 was exposed to a certain genetic toxicity, and the contents of the masked T-2 in the head were higher than that in the muscle; which was positively correlated with the exposure dose.
