Performance Factors and the Sense of Fairness:Research on the Incentive Merit Pay in Compulsory Education Schools——Based on the investigation of 808 teachers from Zhejiang Province

Abstract
How to select indicators to reflect the performance while ensuring teachers’ sense of fairness to the incentive mer-it pay is a difficult question for the compulsory education schools .According to the survey of 808 teachers in the Compulsory Education Schools from Zhejiang , it is found that there are four performance factors that all have significant positive effect on teachers'sense of fairness, namely the work quality, the workload, the explicit outcomes and the seniority .Among them, the workload plays the greatest role while the explicit outcomes plays the least .Meanwhile, the workload and the seniority have an interaction effect on the teachers’ sense of fairness.It is also found that both age and gender have moderating effect on the relationship between the seniority and the teachers’ sense of fairness.关键词
