摘要

Abstract

BasedontheTIMSS2015data,thispaperdiscussestheinfluenceofteachers’variablesonstudents’mathemat-icsachievementbyusingHierarchicalLinearModel(HLM).Theteachers’variablesincludeteachers’characteristicvaria-bles,teachers’teachingvariablesandteachers’professionaldevelopmentvariables.Teachers’characteristicvariablesin-cludeseniority,gender,academicbackground,mathematicsmajorandmathematicseducationmajor.Teachers’teaching variablesincludeteachingexpectation,teachingcooperation,teachingenthusiasm,classroom discussion,andmultimedia use,emphasisonmathematicshomeworkandemphasisontest.Teachers’professionaldevelopmentvariablesincludemath-ematicsknowledgetraining,mathematicseducationtrainingandmathematicscoursetraining.Multi-levelanalysisshows that:amongtheteachers’characteristicvariables,theteachers’seniority,gender,academicbackgroundandmathematics majorhaveasignificanteffectonthestudents’mathematicsachievement.Amongtheteachers’teachingvariables,teach-ers’teachingexpectation,teachingenthusiasm,classroom discussion,andmultimediausehaveasignificanteffecton students’mathematicsachievement.Intheteachers’professionaldevelopmentvariables,participationinmathematical knowledgetrainingandmathematicseducationtraininghasasignificantimpactonstudents’mathematicsachievement.
