Abstract

The Teacher Development School (TDS) is a new type of educational institution jointly established by the education administrative department, universities and schools, serving the training of pre-service and in-service teach-ers, and affiliated with primary and secondary schools.Taking the 16 universities as investigation and survey objects, combing with the texts analysis of 110 teachers’ development schools, the achievements on the construction of teach-ers’ development schools in Zhejiang Province were as follows: the organization and management institutions have jointly been established;some practice courses of teacher education have been developed; teachers of the TDS and u-niversities have been shared; the relevant management system has been developed.Furthermore, it raises the prob-lems and suggestions for promoting the construction of teachers'development schools in Zhejiang Province.The long-term operation mechanism of the government, universities and TDS needs to be further improved.The construction of TDS should pay more attention to curriculum than teaching, should emphasize the construction of course group.The construction of TDS should stress teaching and research; a new state of evaluation adapts to TDS needs to be built.
