Research on Student Affairs Administration in American Universities:Progress,Trends and Characteristics

Abstract
Student affairs administration in universities is the product of the development of higher education,and the research on the theory and practice of student affairs administration in American universities has always been in the fore-front of the world.Relying on the Web of Science database,using bibliometrics methods,using keyword co-emergence and emergent knowledge graphs to analyze the relevant research progress of student affairs management in American universi-ties,and analyzing research trends with the help of keyword time zone distribution knowledge graphs,it finally summarizes five characteristics of the research:the research field is broadened,which focuses on the improvement of the quality of ad-ministrators;the theory is widely used,and problems are viewed from a new perspective;research methods are diverse,which break the paradigm of quantitative research;the research situation is changeable,and student affairs are facing new challenges;the research theme is focused,and fairness and justice are the eternal goals.关键词
