Abstract

Based on remote sensing and Web GIS technology,the platform is constructed a wildfire detection and fire spread monitoring platform mainly includes the functions of fire point detection by combining multiple mod-els,surface fire spread simulation based on the Rothermel model,and three-dimensional visualisation based on particle simulation.The system combines several fire point detection models on the basis of multi-source remote sensing data to locate high-temperature anomalies and simulate the fire spreading process under the influence of different subsurface and meteorological factors,and then establishes an intuitive visualisation simulation,and veri-fies the feasibility of the system by taking the forest fires in Datong City as an example,and the results show that the system is able to detect the fire points and simulate the prediction of fire spreading effectively,which is helpful for improving the level of forest fire prevention and suppression work and reducing the number of personnel.The re-sults show that the system can effectively detect fire points and simulate and predict the spread of fire,which can provide technical support for improving the level of fire prevention and extinguishing work in mountainous forests,reducing casualties and property losses,and protecting ecological environment.
