The Evolution,Achievements and Problems of the Teacher Education System with Chinese Characteristics

Abstract
The establishment of the teacher education system with Chinese characteristics constitutes a pivotal under-taking within the context of educational reform and development in China.Examining the evolution of China's teacher edu-cation system,it has roughly gone through six stages:the incubation phase of an independent teacher education system,the establishment phase of an independent teacher education system,the destabilization phase of an independent teacher edu-cation system,the exploratory phase of an open and diversified teacher education system,the reconstruction and reinforce-ment phase of an independent teacher education system,and the transformation and restructuring phase of the teacher edu-cation system.The 120 years of development of China's teacher education system have solidified the fundamental and pri-oritized role of teacher education in educational development,established a relatively complete and high-level teacher edu-cation system,and laid the foundation for the comprehensive completion of China's education system.However,the trans-formation and reconstruction of China's teacher education system still have problems,such as excessive emphasis on aca-demic qualifications,decline of the main body of teacher education,and lack of enthusiasm for participation by high-level comprehensive universities.关键词
