A Brief Study on Stroke and Cold Damage in Three Yang Meridians in Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases
摘要
Abstract
The external pathogenic factors first attack three yang meridians,resulting in stroke and cold damage.The active one belongs to yang leading to stroke,while the static one belongs to yin leading to cold damage.The syndrome of greater yang stroke is caused by the invasion of wind,and the fundamental pathogenesis is wind and cold attacking the exterior,deficient nutrient qi and excessive de-fense qi,so the treatment should focus on harmonizing nutrient-defense qi,release muscles and removing wind,and Cinnamon Twig De-coction can be used as the basic formula.The syndrome of greater yang cold damage is due to strong physical constitution,solid striae,sufficient defense qi,but wind and cold attacking dense qi,so the treatment should focus on releasing the exterior with pungent and warm drugs,ventilating the lung to relieve dyspnea,and Modified Ephedra Decoction can be used.The syndrome of yang brightness stroke is transformed from greater yang stroke,mostly manifested as combination of greater yang and yang brightness diseases,or two or three me-ridians'diseases at the same time.The pathogenesis is complex,and the symptoms are various.Zhang zhongjing did not create a special formula,but only informed the doctors not to use the purgative method causally.The syndrome of yang brightness cold damage is due to the attack of cold pathogen into the exterior,into the interior damaging yang brightness.The yang brightness meridian full of qi and blood,the external pathogen should be heated,and the body stomach yang is relatively insufficient,so the treatment should focus on war-ming the middle energizer and removing dampness rather than using bitter-cold drugs for purgation.The syndrome of lesser yang stroke is due to the spontaneous onset of the lesser yang meridian.It is the meridian full of vigorous yang,if it is blocked,it will stretch up-ward,so the treatment should focus on harmonizing the pivot,and the categorized formula of Minor Bupleurum Decoction can be used.The syndrome of lesser yang cold damage is caused by cold pathogen in the lesser yang meridian,and the qi of lesser yang is stagnated in the exterior and can not be dispersed,so the treatment should focus on adapting to the situation and harmonizing the pivot,without sweating.Stroke and cold damage can transform each other,or cause diseases at the same time,so the two can not be separated mechani-cally.关键词
