Abstract
Objective To analyze clinical efficacy and safety of intense pulsed light(IPL)with different pulsewidths in the treatment of patients with facial erythema and telangiectasia after steroid-induced dermatitis.Methods Data of 57 patients with er-ythema and telangiectasia after steroid-induced dermatitis were collected and grouped according to the treatment protocol,including 29 cases treated with longer pulsewidth(group A)and 28 cases treated with shorter pulsewidth(group B).Clinical erythema assess-ment(CEA)and telangiectasia grading score(TGS)were used to evaluate the improvement of erythema and telangiectasia.Efficacy and adverse reactions were evaluated and recorded.Results After treatment,there were statistically significant difference in CEA scores between two groups(P＜0.05),and no significant difference in TGS scores(P＞0.05).With the increase of treatment times,the severity of erythema was decreased significantly(P＜0.05),and clearance rate of telangiectasis was increased significantly in two groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion The treatment of patients with facial erythema after steroid dermatitis with IPL,both erythema and telangiectasia improved significantly with two different pulse widths.Compared to the shorter pulsewidth,the longer pulsewidth has bet-ter improvement in erythema with higher safety and simple operation.If the number of treatments would be improved,the efficacy could be improved.关键词
