Tuberculosis,an ancient infectious disease that continues to pose a threat to the global population with its prevalence and impact placing economic burden on societies.To achieve the ambitious goal of"ending tuberculosis"by 2035,continuous innovation and development of new technologies are imperative.This article comprehensively reviews the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis since the turn of the century,encompassing advancements in laboratory diagnostic techniques,updates in drug therapeutic strategies,and the progress in vaccine research,aiming to offer a comprehensive perspective on the current status and future trajectory of tuberculosis control efforts.
