农村空巢老年家庭因病致贫风险的动态转变与影响因素分析OA

Objective To know about the dynamic transition process of poverty caused by illness among empty-nest elderly households in rural China,and to explore the influencing factors to explain the causes of differ-ent kinds of poverty due to illness,so as to provide the basis for preventing the risk of poverty caused by illness in the post-poverty era.Methods Based on data from the Shandong Elderly Health Cohort,impoverished health ex-penditure indicators were used to describe the dynamic transition probabilities and types of poverty caused by ill-ness in rural empty-nest elderly households,and an Ordered Probit Model was used to analyze the factors influen-cing the dynamic changes in poverty caused by illness.Results The status of poverty caused by illness in rural empty-nest elderly households was changing dynamically,and the occurrence of such poverty was mostly tempora-ry.Physical capital,financial capital,social capital,and human capital were significantly associated with the type of dynamic changes in poverty due to illness.Conclusions Governance of the risk of poverty due to illness in the post-poverty era should still focus on rural empty-nest elderly households,thus designing health assistance policies with dynamic targeting mechanisms and adopting multiple approaches to improving the livelihood capital of rural empty-nest elderly households in order to enhance their resilience to the impacts of illness.
