Research Progress on the Plant Extracts Regulating Methane Emission in Ruminants
摘要
Abstract
Ruminants are the largest source of methane emissions in our country's livestock industry.The methane they emit not only causes energy loss in the animal body,but also further aggravates global climate warming.The problem of methane emission reduction from ruminants needs to solve urgently.Plant extracts are rich in bioactive ingredients,which can regulate the rumen environment of ruminants,reduce methane emissions,and improve the utilization of nutrients and energy.They are an effective ruminal fermentation regulator.This article reviews the research progress of plant essential oils,saponins,and tannins in ruminant methane emission reduction according to the chemical structure classification of plant extracts,to provide theoretical basis and new ideas for the research and application of plant extracts in ruminant methane emissions.关键词
