Discussion on essence of liver-spleen correlation based on gut-liver axis
摘要
Abstract
The theory of liver-spleen correlation,originating from the Huangdi Neijing and Nanjing,has been refined by numerous generations of physicians.It has become a significant academic perspective in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)for diagnosing and treating diseases,as well as for preventive healthcare.This theory posits that the liver and spleen have a physiological mutual restraint and a pathological interrelationship,which are complementary in treatment.Based on recent research advancements in the gut-liver axis and intestinal flora,it is proposed that the essence of liver-spleen correlation lies in the gut-liver axis as the physiological foundation,the intestine as the intermediate link,and intestinal flora as the microchannel.This framework ensures the normal physiological functions of the liver(which governs the free flow of qi)and the spleen(which governs transportation and transformation).Pathologically,liver diseases affect the spleen and vice versa.The core treatment strategy involves regulating both the liver and spleen.This paper elucidates the essence of liver-spleen correlation from the perspectives of the gut-liver axis and intestinal flora,aiming to provide insights for the modern development of TCM.关键词
