Abstract

The process of education is often accompanied by discipline,and discipline and rules constitute fundamen-tal manifestations of educational discipline.When it comes to educational activities,educators'discipline towards children is often deliberately ignored by people.However,the undeniable fact is that improper discipline by educators in carrying out educational activities can lead to the physical and mental oppression of children.Excessive discipline has led to the neglect of the value of the"noumenon"of life;Children become"desensitizers"of experience,and Dewey's educational theory advocates adhering to the standpoint of children.Dewey's statement that"children are the center"is a return to the original,that"education has no purpose"is a prevention of education from moving towards discipline,and that"empiri-cism"emphasizes the educational philosophy of putting children first.If we want to break educational discipline,"children are the center"should become the primary stance of educators;"aimless education"provides a solid theoretical basis for"stepping out of educational discipline";the systematic discourse of"empiricism"points out the focus of stepping out of dis-cipline.The ultimate inspiration of Dewey's"children's position"lies in finding children with subjectivity,cherishing and paying attention to their current feelings;a steadfast and humanistic education approach that forgives and tolerates children who make mistakes;abandoning the adult-based educational assumption and express it with respect and understanding.Ideal education calls for us to step out of discipline and allow children to find their own subjects,become themselves,and live a complete and meaningful life of their own.
