Abstract

Since the launch of the"Thailand 4.0"strategy,the Thai government has introduced a series of reform measures to adapt to the development of the strategy,emphasizing the innovative transformation of various industries driven by digital technology,among which education is a key area.As one of the earliest countries in Southeast Asia to apply sci-ence and technology to the education industry,Thailand's digital education has experienced three stages of steady start,comprehensive promotion,and accelerated development.In this process,the Thai government has not only promulgated various bills and formulated medium-and long-term development plans but also paid particular attention to the develop-ment of localized learning resources and the improvement of digital application capabilities.At the same time,due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic,the process of digital transformation of education in Thailand has been greatly acceler-ated,and Thai society is stepping into the era of digital education at an unprecedented speed.However,it should also be pointed out that digital education in Thailand still faces many challenges.The existing problems are mainly reflected in the limited investment and serious uneven distribution of education funds,the imperfect digital infrastructure,the urgent need to strengthen data security protection,and the need to improve the digital literacy of teachers and students.In view of these realistic difficulties,in the long run,the Thai government should strengthen the top-level design and adhere to the leading position of the government;make use of the advantages of the private enterprises,strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure;pay attention to data security,improve the level of data security protection;cultivate digital capabili-ties,improve the digital literacy of teachers and students;and strengthen dialogue and exchanges to deepen the digital ed-ucation cooperation between China and Thailand.
