In municipal engineering,the potential for foundation reuse is vast,but its advantages and disadvantages need careful consideration.While offering benefits such as cost and resource savings,as well as reduced environmental impact,it also faces challenges like adaptability of foundation structures and bearing capacity.Hence,for the foundation reuse,it's crucial to thoroughly assess the type,condition,and bearing capacity of the existing foundations,along with their compatibility with new construction.Specific methods involve conducting comprehensive surveys and assessments,designing appropriate schemes and structures,and executing construction and maintenance activities.These steps enable effective reuse of the existing foundation structures,and offer economic,environmental,and sustainable solutions for municipal engineering projects.Additionally,meticulous documentation of the current design and construction processes is pivotal for ensuring the success of future foundation reuse endeavors.
