Research on the Impact of Climate Risk Perception on Corporate AI Innovation
人工智能应用对企业实现高质量发展和应对风险具有重要意义.本文以 2007~2022 年A股上市公司为研究对象,考察气候风险感知对企业人工智能创新的影响及作用机制.研究发现,气候风险感知可以显著提高企业的人工智能创新产出.机制检验表明,气候风险感知通过降低企业的融资约束和金融化水平,进而推动企业的人工智能创新.调节分析表明,提高组织韧性能够强化气候风险感知与企业人工智能创新产出之间的正向关系,而较高的媒体监督压力则会抑制这一关系.异质性分析显示,在国有企业与非高科技企业中,气候风险感知对企业人工智能创新的促进作用更为显著.本文的研究为企业应对气候风险提供了微观经验证据,填补了人工智能创新领域的研究空白,为加快构建气候风险管理和防范体系提供有益参考.
The application of artificial intelligence(AI)is crucial for high-quality development and effective risk manage-ment in businesses.This study focuses on companies listed on China's A-share market from 2007 to 2022,exploring how the per-ception of climate risks influences corporate AI innovation and the mechanisms behind this effect.Findings indicate that perception of climate risks has a significant role in promoting corporate AI innovation.The study shows that this perception alleviates financing constraints and reduces levels of financialization,thereby boosting AI innovation.Further analysis reveals that strengthening organi-zational resilience amplifies the positive impact of climate risk perception on AI innovation,whereas intense media scrutiny tends to dampen this effect.The heterogeneity analysis presents that the positive influence of climate risk perception on AI innovation is more pronounced in state-owned and non-high-tech enterprises.This research provides empirical insights into corporate climate risk management,filling a research gap in AI innovation and advancing the development of mitigation strategies.
