摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore potential causal relationships between physical activity of varying intensity and serum uric acid levels. Methods A genome-wide association study between physical activity of different intensities and serum uric acid levels was used for the Mendelian randomization study.Inverse-variance weighted(IVW)analysis method was used as the primary analysis method.Sensitivity analyses were used to test the reliability of the MR analysis results. Results Among the results of the IVW method,low-intensity aero-bic training, light physical activity, and moderate-intensity physical activity had a significant causal effect on the reduction of serum uric acid levels(OR=0.69,95%CI:0.50~0.96,p=0.031);(OR=0.60,95%CI:0.45~0.80,p=0.000 6);(OR=0.85,95%CI:0.75~0.96,p=0.01),but strenuous physical activity had no significant effect on serum uric acid levels(OR=0.92,95%CI:0.77~1.10,p=0.39).Sensitivity analyses showed no evidence of reverse causality, pleiotropy or heterogeneity. Conclusion Low-intensity aerobic training, light physical activity, and moderate-intensity physical activity provided genetic evidence of a causal association for the reduction in serum uric acid levels, whereas there was no direct causal association between vigorous physical activity and the reduction in serum uric acid levels.关键词
