Evaluation of ecosystem service values and protection countermeasures of grasslands in the Ruoergai Plateau

Abstract
To protect the alpine wetlands in the Ruoergai Plateau,one of the most important water source conservation area in the upper reach of the Yellow River,a comprehensive assessment system for the Ruoergai Plateau grassland ecosystem has been constructed,and the values of its ecosystem service is assessed quantitatively,corresponding protection countermeasures are proposed.The results show that there are 90.86％of the areas with a moderate or higher level of importance in the service function of the grassland ecosystem in Ruoergai Plateau,where the importance of water source conservation function is highest;there are 84.85％of the areas with moderate and good ecosystem quality levels,96.58％of areas with the medium,important and very important levels of the ecological conservation importance,87.31％of the areas with the medium or above levels of the ecological environment sensitivity,and 86.79％of the areas with the weak and fair levels of the restoration potential in the Ruoergai Plateau.Therefore,there is an urgent need to carry out integrated protection and restoration of mountains,water,forests,fields,lakes,grasses,sand and ice.It is necessary to establish an ecological value realization mechanism guided by water conservation,to promote the construction of the Yellow River National Cultural Park and related ecological projects,and to promote synergistic protection of Ruoergai's ecology and culture.关键词
