Abstract
Objective To study effects of word recognition score(WRS)on the therapeutic evaluation of sudden deafness.Methods From December 2021 to May 2023,data of 95 patients with sudden deafness who had no change in pure tone threshold average(PT A)but improved speech resolution before and after treatment at our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.WRS and sound intensity of speech test before and after treatment were statistically analyzed.Results The PTA of 95 patients with sudden deafness before and after treatment had no significant change,and therapeutic effect was evaluated as ineffective.There was no sta-tistically significant difference in the sound intensity of speech test(P＞0.05),while WRS of monosyllabic and two-syllable words before and after treatment had statistical significance(P＜0.05),and the difference was＞10％higher than that before treatment,which had clinical significance.Conclusion In clinical work,attention should be paid to WRS as well as PTA,especially when there is no significant improvement in PTA before and after treatment,so as to better evaluate the efficacy and adjust treatment plan.关键词
