Abstract
Stroke is the most common cerebrovascular disease,and patients may experience various functional impairments such as movement,sensation,and swallowing.Post-stroke dysphagia can easily lead to complications such as aspiration pneumonia,malnu-trition,and electrolyte disorders,seriously affecting the patient's life and disease outcome.Transcranial magnetic stimulation,as a non-invasive neuromodulation technique,has been proven by multiple studies to significantly improve swallowing disorders after stroke.This article summarizes the pathogenesis of swallowing disorders after stroke,the current research status and possible mecha-nisms of transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy.It is found that the therapeutic effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy vary depending on the frequency,intensity,location,mode and other parameters used in clinical practice.According to the bimodal balance-recovery model,the ideal transcranial magnetic stimulation regimen should depend on the patient's functional and structural preservation,stroke type,and stroke staging.In addition,novel stimulation methods such as cerebellar stimulation and vagus nerve stimulation also have an effect on improving swallowing function in stroke patients,and further research is needed.关键词
