Exploring the Relationship between Gut Microbiota and Osteoporosis Based on the Theory of"Kidney Governing Bones"
With the rapid development of molecular biology, the relationship between gut microbiota and osteoporosis(OP)has become a hot topic in clinical research.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has theoretical support in the treatment of OP based on the theory of"kidney governing bones",but it has not yet received sufficient validation from modern medicine. Therefore, starting from the theory of"kidney governing bones"and focusing on gut microbiota, this paper discusses the relationship between kidney deficiency and OP.It is found that OP patients are prone to gut microbiota imbalance, and disturbances in gut microbiota can accelerate the progression of OP through pathways such as neuroinflammation,short-chain fatty acids, and intestinal barrier disruption.
