Mechanism Analysis of Abnormal Phenomenon in ABS Injection Molding Products after Environmental Testing

Abstract
Through UV irradiation exposure testing and anti mouthwash testing on a pre marketed mouthwash container accessories of a certain brand,abnormal phenomena such as yellowing in appearance,partial transparency of the frosted shell,thickening of the melt bonding line,and white attachments were observed.Using the evolution of micro structure using metallographic and scanning electron microscopes,the cause of abnormal phenomena was ultimately discovered.Research has shown that after UV irradiation exposure testing and anti mouthwash testing,photooxidative degradation leads to yellowing of the appearance;The ethanol in anti mouthwash dissolves and corrodes the butadiene components of ABS,as well as the migration of benzene containing compounds in ABS to ethanol,resulting in local transparency of the frosted shell and thickening of the melt flow binding line;The white attachment is the insoluble white gel formed by solvent evaporation of"Poloxamer 407".关键词
