Abstract
As an integral component of the higher education system,the lifelong education system in universities holds a significant role in shaping a learning society and constructing a nation which is great in education.With the ongoing advancement of scientific and technological revolution and the ac-celerated evolution of digital technology,China's education sector has entered the era of digital transformation 4.0.Against the backdrop of digital trans-formation in education,the construction of a lifelong education system in colleges and universities carries paramount strategic significance and contempora-ry value.It is essential to define the concept of lifelong education,trace its theoretical origins,clarify key elements and the governance frameworks,and elucidate the obstacles encountered in the construction process.This approach aims to explore the development pathways for constructing the lifelong edu-cation system in colleges and universities.关键词
