Low-Power Low-Frequency Wake-up Receiver for Tire Pressure Monitoring System Applications

Abstract
A low-power low-frequency wake-up receiver for tire pressure monitoring system applications is designed and implemented based on the X-Fab 0.18 μm CMOS process.A reference source is used to bias the other modules of the receiver to minimize the effects of temperature and process parameters,and capacitive coupling method is used to eliminate DC offset.The receiver adopts amplitude shift keying(ASK)demodulation with a carrier frequency of 125 kHz and a data transmission rate of 4 kbit/s.The layout area of the receiver is 0.11 mm2.The post simulation results show that the current of the receiver is 2.52 μA at tm process angle and a supply voltage of 1.8 V,the voltage sensitivity is 0.4 mV(peak-to-peak),and the log-linearity error of the received signal strength indicator is less than+0.1/-0.2 dB at various process angles.关键词
