Abstract

The identity of kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions is one of the important issues in the process of teacher-team construction.Ethnic regions possess unique cultural backgrounds and educational environments,making the issue of identity recognition among early childhood teachers more complex and diverse.Considering of the diversity of fac-tors affecting the identity of kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions,as well as the particularity and complexity of their na-tional culture,this study adopted the qualitative research method and used the qualitative analysis software NVivo for data processing.Based on the three-level coding and analysis of the teacher growth stories of 86 kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions,this study constructed an identity model system for kindergarten teachers,including identity choice,identity growth,identity adherence,identity doubt and identity pressure.The results showed that the identity self-construction mod-el of kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions should be a systematic dynamic model.There are three main stages in the de-velopment of kindergarten teachers'identity in ethnic regions:identity selection,identity growth and identity adherence.In these three stages,identity doubt is accompanied by two stages of identity selection and identity growth,and identity pres-sure is accompanied by three stages of identity selection,identity growth and identity adherence.The study help to redis-cover the specific connotation of the identity of kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions from the five components of the model based on the teacher's perspective,which analyzed four factors that might affect the identity of kindergarten teach-ers in ethnic regions,including feedback from children,support from principals,career loyalty,and being able to take into account female family roles.On this basis,it was proposed that different levels of efforts should be made from the govem-ment dimension,the social dimension and the personal dimension of teachers to jointly promote the identity of kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions.Specifically,it might include:making personal career planning for kindergarten teachers in eth-nic regions,constructing"teacher-research-training-individual learning"integrated teacher professional growth system,re-positioning professional identity of kindergarten teachers in the new era,strengthening humanistic care for kindergarten teachers in ethnic regions,and promoting kindergarten teachers'identity with ethnic cultural identity.
