Abstract

To address the issues of low feeding speed and poor compatibility in the forming process of cigarette composite filter rods,a high-speed drum wheel feeding device was designed based on the material shape.Transient dynamics simulation of the collision process during material discharge was conducted using Ansys Workbench software to analyze the maximum achievable feeding speed.The equivalent strain and stress distribution under different rotational speeds,as well as the velocity and acceleration curves of the material along the Y-axis,were obtained.To verify the reliability of the high-speed drum wheel feeding device,an experimental platform was established under the premise of ensuring stable high-speed operation.The optimal production speed was determined.Results demonstrated that when the rotational speed reached 50 r/min,the maximum equivalent stress was 134.5 MPa,exceeding the material's yield strength of 120.6 MPa,with maximum velocity and acceleration values of-1 222.5 mm/s and 1 289 900 mm/s2,respectively.At a rotational speed of 38 r/min,the actual production rate of qualified products during continuous operation reached 37 pieces per second,meeting the high-speed feeding requirements for cigarette composite filter rod forming.This study provides a reference for achieving stable and efficient feeding in the forming process of cigarette composite filter rods.
