Evaluating the Effectiveness of Problem-Posing Instruction

Abstract
Problem posing is not only an instructional objective but also an instructional method for achieving that objective.Its unique value in deepening mathematics teaching reform and improving students'core literacy has been widely recognized.However,the effectiveness of problem-posing instruction in actual mathematics classrooms needs systematic evaluation.This special issue consists of six papers focusing on the impact of problem-posing instruction on students,teachers,and teaching.The paper presents the design of teaching through problem posing and its improvement process;attempts to evaluate the impact of problem-posing instruction on students from the perspectives of problem-posing literacy and cognitive processes of problem posing;and reveals the impact of problem-posing instruction and problem-solving training on teachers'professional development.关键词
