Abstract

In order to more accurately screen out high-quality pepper varieties suitable for cultivation in Dingxi region,this paper used principal component analysis and cluster analysis to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of 10 indicators of 25 introduced pepper varieties.The results showed that the quantitative function model,constructed based on three principal component factors,indicated that the six varieties,including'Tianjiao 20''Yunchi''Sujiu 19''Sujiu 22''Tianjiao 16',and'2774'had the highest comprehensive trait scores.By using the cluster dendrogram to systematically classify different pepper varieties,the 25 varieties were clustered into three major categories based on 10 trait indicators.Among them,the six varieties of'Tianjiao 16''2774''Yunchi''Sujiu 19''Sujiu 22''Tianjiao 16'had longer fruit lengths,larger single fruit weights,higher yields,and good comprehensive traits.This result was basically consistent with the field growth situation,indicating that the reliability of the comprehensive evaluation results was relatively high.The comprehensive analysis showed that'Tianjiao 16''2774''Yunchi''Sujiu 19''Sujiu 22',and'Tianjiao 20'were suitable for cultivation in Dingxi region and were varieties with market potential.
