Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the value of serum prealbumin,ferritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin in the as-sessment of nutritional status in preschool children.[Method]A total of 90 preschool children admitted to our hospital from October 2017 to October 2022 were selected and divided into a malnutrition group(33 cases)and a well-nourished group(57 cases)based on the presence or absence of malnutrition.The general data and serum prealbumin,ferritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin levels of the two groups were compared.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the risk factors affecting the nutrition of preschool children.Receiver operating characteristic curves(ROC curves)were drawn to analyze the predictive value of serum prealbumin,ferritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin for the nutritional status of preschool children.[Results]There was no statistically significant difference in gender and age between the two groups(P>0.05).The levels of serum prealbumin,ferritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin in the malnutrition group were lower than those in the well-nourished group,with statistically significant differ-ences(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that low expression of serum prealbumin,ferritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin were independent risk factors for malnutrition in preschool children.The AUCs of serum prealbumin,fer-ritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin for predicting the nutritional status of preschool children were 0.831,0.531,0.810,0.580,and 0.719,respectively.The optimal cut-off values were 0.512,0.227,0.542,0.555,and 0.325(95%CI:0.745-0.918,0.404-0.658,0.719-0.901,0.729-0.909,0.434-0.726),respectively.The sensitivities were 75.80%,66.70%,78.89%,81.80%,and 60.60%,respectively.The specificities were 75.40%,56.10%,75.40%,73.70%,and 71.90%,respectively.[Conclu-sion]Low expression of serum prealbumin,ferritin,25-(OH)D3,alkaline phosphatase,and leptin are all risk factors for malnutrition in preschool children.Moreover,these indicators are of great significance in the assessment of the nutritional status of preschool children.
