Investigation and Analysis of Grape Bud Dormancy Regulation in Jiangsu

Abstract
To systematically investigate the current status and existing challenges of grape bud dormancy regulation in Jiangsu,this study conducted a comprehensive analysis of 55 representative vineyards through a combination of questionnaire surveys and telephone follow-ups.The results revealed that artificial dormancy-breaking techniques achieved an application rate of 81.82%,with implementation rates exceeding 85.00%in vineyards characterized by forcing cultivation models,large-scale operations,high production values,or those cultivating early-maturing cultivars as primary varieties.Hydrogen cyanamide emerged as the predominant regulatory agent(accounting for 80.00%usage),primarily applied during January and March.Its high adoption rate and potential for further expansion were influenced by climatic conditions,dominant cultivars,and cultivation models.However,several issues were identified in Jiangsu's grape production system,including extensive management of dormancy-breaking,over-reliance on a single technical approach,and inconsistent implementation standards,which occasionally led to adverse phenomena such as"bud scorching"and unstable sprouting effects.Based on these findings,this study proposes targeted recommendations including optimization of hydrogen cyanamide application protocols,emphasis on auxiliary dormancy-breaking measures,and promotion of standardized production practices.关键词
