Abstract
[Objective]To analyze the use of food additives in special medical foods in China since the implementation of the Administrative Measures for Registration of Formulated Foods for Special Medical Purposes in 2016.[Method]Based on the National Standard for Food Safety,Standard for the Use of Food Additives(GB 2760)and other regulations,the types,scope of use and dosage of food additives were systematically sorted out.It was found that additives were used in about 80%of registered specialty foods,with citrate,sucralose and phospholipids being the most common.This paper also explored the specific role of additives in specialty foods and suggested options for different applicable populations,e.g.,aspartame should not be added to specialty foods for people with phenylketonuria.[Result]Problems in current use,such as the need for regulatory updates and the inadequacy of post-marketing surveillance were identi-fied,and recommendations were made to strengthen regulatory compliance,basic research,and post-marketing surveillance.[Conclusion]The study emphasized that special medical food manufacturers should strictly comply with food safety regulations,rationally design formulas,and strengthen labeling management to ensure product safety and nutritional properties.关键词
