摘要

Abstract

[Objective]To reveal the adaptation mechanism of wetland plants to hydrological gradients and their epigenetic regulation characteristics.[Methods]Using Calamagrostis angustifolia,a dominant species in Sanjiang Plain wetlands,as the research object,we compared phenotypic variations and DNA methylation levels at key phenological stages(jointing,heading,and maturity)in three habitats(typical meadow,transplanted from meadow to swamp for 4 years,and swamp).[Results]C.angustifolia in typical meadow habitat showed growth advantages,with plant height,leaf length,and aboveground biomass at maturity being 26.45%,18.67%,and 34.83%higher than the transplanted treatment,and 12.74%,36.91%,and 63.51%higher than the swamp habitat,respectively.Phenotypic trait correlations were strongest at heading stage.DNA methylation levels showed significant differences among habitats and developmental stages,with full methylation levels in typical meadow and swamp habitats being significantly higher than the transplanted treatment at maturity.Epigenetic variations mainly existed within habitats(62%-81%)and showed developmental stage specificity,with full methylation sites showing significant positive correlations with growth traits at maturity.[Conclusion]C.angustifolia adapts to different hydrological habitats through phenotypic trait regulation,with plant height,leaf length,and biomass being higher in typical meadow than in swamp habitat.Both hemi-methylation and full methylation sites participate in phenotypic differentiation through regulating traits(leaf length,leaf width,internode length)and biomass.
